 POODLE MIXES (AKA DOODLES)

Cockapoos, Cavapoos, Mini doodles, Cavachons and friends!

I'm a fully trained and qualified groomer in all breeds of dog. Terriers, Spaniels, you name it, I love to groom them all to the best standard I can.

However poodle and Bichon mixed breeds such as Cockapoos, Cavapoos, Cavachons etc seem to make up a very large chunk of my clientele and are therefore where I often focus a lot of my career development and additional training when I can.

I've attended personal scissoring tuition with multiple award winning groomer Alison Rogers (previous groomer of the year multiple times), poodle seminars with top grooming judge Colin Taylor, Cockapoo webinars with judge Verity Hardcastle and also competed at National level with a Cavapoo at Premier Groom.

This focus has gained me doodle clients from as far afield as Macclesfield and Didsbury. Which for a home groomer in Appleton, I'm immensely proud of.

I invest in breed specific shampoos, styling products & equipment designed to bring the best out of these non shedding fluffy coats.

I have experience to know that no two mixed breeds are the same, some have more of a poodle coat, some more of a cocker or cavalier... knowing how to optimise and style the coat your dog has, is my passion.

If you own a Cockapoo or similar and choose me as your groomer, you can be assured of a professional, passionate about the styling of these breeds. However, they have a high maintenance coat and if you want to keep your dog anything other than a shaved smooth style, they require regular and EFFECTIVE brushing and combing at home, (at least twice a week, all over their body) which will be expected of you.

I am more than happy to show you how to brush at home and support you in this.

Regular professional grooming every 4-6 weeks is also needed to keep these coats in a tip top condition and avoid matting. Under the animal welfare act, there is no alternative but to shave off matted coats, so please don't risk this by stretching your appointments too long or not looking after the coat properly at home.

Please have a look at my instagram or Facebook pictures to have a look at the Cockapoos etc that I groom and to decide if I'm the groomer for you.

Price guide discussed when you ring.

(Stretching appointments longer than 8 weeks will increase the price).
